Councilwoman kicks off Miami Gardens’ wine and food season

To launch the second annual Miami Gardens Wine and Food Experience on Tuesday, June 21, is critically acclaimed actor Lamman Rucker, who will screen his new series set to air on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

A meet and greet and an exclusive viewing of Rucker’s new series “Greenleaf” start at 8 p.m. and continue until 11 p.m. at Signature Cigars and Lounge, 19801 NW 27th Ave., Miami Gardens.

Rucker, a wine lover himself, plays a starring role as a member of the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch, filled with dark secrets and lies. Rucker is best known as the star of Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married” film sequels and hit film/sitcom “Meet The Browns.” He will join Councilwoman Davis Tuesday for the launch of the 2016 Miami Gardens Wine and Food Experience, which is set for Nov. 12 at Calder Casino.
